NOTICE FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATE
REGISTRATION FOR THE LOWER SECONDARY PROFICIENCY EXAMINATION (LSPE) 2026
The Ministry of Education wishes to advise that registration for the 2026 Lower Secondary Proficiency Examination takes place during the period 9th February 2026 – 26th February 2026.
Private Candidates are advised that registration forms can be downloaded online at (Registration Form) or collected in person at the following locations:
- Ministry of Education #5-7 St Vincent Street Port of Spain
- Division of Education, Innovation and Energy, Dutch Fort Plaza, Scarborough, Tobago
Completed forms must be returned to the same locations during the period 9th February 2026 – 26th February 2026
The following documents are required at the time of registration:
- One (1) copy of Electronic Birth Certificate of child/children
- One (1) copy of Candidates’ National Identification (where applicable)
- Proof of Status in the Country is required from Foreign Students (e.g. resident student permit, work permit, Certificate of Status, Trinidad and Tobago Passport).
